the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is reviewing its achievements at the GCC Municipalities and Towns Development Global Competitiveness Strategy Conference, which has opened its first session in Dubai yesterday and continues till June 10th, and aims at reviewing the new concepts and modern applications in the field of municipal and town planning, through experiments of the GCC countries.
Besides being main sponsor of the event, the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is submitting two working papers; the first one reviews the Municipality’s efforts in the field greenery in Abu Dhabi city to highlight its relevant expertise and how it managed to overcome the harsh environmental conditions, measures taken to alleviate the severity of the prevailing circumstances, and the appropriate measures adopted at the highest global standards.
The Paper also reviews the achievements and projects completed by the Municipality in the field of greens and landscaping amplified with examples of the key modern plantation projects, and recommendations concluded with the aim of maintaining the successes made along with the projected future expansions. The Paper also includes addendum depicting key trees & shrubs commonly planted in Abu Dhabi, and some illustrative images of the existing projects along with the layouts & designs of projects underway or under offer.
The second Paper focuses on the excellent experiment of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City in the field of customer service, which sheds light on the Municipality’s approach to upgrade its services and reach out to customers with diverse segments, requirements and whereabouts in a handy manner that saves their time & effort, wins their satisfaction and sets the path for the Municipality’s future drive. Such a drive is set to enhance the leading role of the Municipality and boost its corporate identity in the context of a comprehensive strategy aiming at building an integrated model that adds to the Municipality’s impressive array of excellent services, whether at the Head Office or external municipal centers; which are shaping into a vital communication channel with clients and the public.
